Teeth whitening
In-clinic teeth whitening with Philips Zoom
Before whitening your teeth, you should be examined by a dentist or dental hygienist. They will assess whether your discolorations can be whitened and which method should be used. If you have cavities, they will need to be repaired and if you have tartar, it will need to be removed before treatment. Before the whitening treatment, they will scan your teeth and give you whitening trays for use at home after the in-clinic whitening is completed. When whitening teeth in the clinic, the dental staff use a gel that contains, among other things, hydrogen peroxide. A special guard is also used to prevent the strong gel from coming into contact with your gums and the rest of your mouth. The treatment takes about 2 hours.
Home bleaching after clinic bleaching
You can get bleaching trays and bleaching gel to continue bleaching at home until you reach the color you are happy with. Please note that fillings that you already have may need to be replaced as they are not bleached during teeth whitening (cost will be added). We recommend overnight whitening as saliva production is low. After brushing and flossing, apply a small amount of gel to the trays. Put the trays on and remove the excess gel from the gums with a disposable napkin. Clean the trays after use with a soft toothbrush and cold/moist water. Note that hot water may cause them to change shape.
Food that discolors
Do not eat or drink anything with strong colors during treatment and for a few days afterwards. Examples include red wine, tomato sauce and blueberries.
Side effects
When you whiten your teeth, you may experience side effects. In this case, you should stop the treatment. For example, your gums may become swollen, sore or irritated. It is the strong gel that has affected the gums. Your teeth may also become sore, but this usually passes within a few days of stopping treatment.
Whitening can also be carried out with the Water Lase dental laser, both of the teeth and of the gums.

These aligners are created using the latest digital technology to fit your teeth perfectly. A major advantage of SureSmile is that the aligners are removable, making it easy to maintain good dental hygiene.
Each treatment is unique and is carried out using customized trays. These trays gradually move your teeth until they reach the desired position. The aligners are changed every one to two weeks to ensure continuous and effective orthodontic treatment. To achieve the best possible results, it is important to wear the aligners 24 hours a day, with a recommendation of 22 hours per day. You only remove the trays when you eat or brush your teeth. The duration of treatment varies according to individual needs. It can take between 3-18 months.
